The Journey Begins…
My husband and I stumbled upon a video, NYC’S Best Burger, Explained on the YouTube channel First We Feast (which btw has interesting content) that was the Brindle Room burger from Brindle Room. The burger’s name is actually Sebastian’s Steakhouse Burger and it is the only burger on the menu. My husband and I have an affinity for burgers. We have actually been on a journey to find the best burgers in Manhattan so we needed to try this delicious looking burger from the video. The one drawback it had was the stigma of being called the “best” in that food category. When given that title, it usually is not. You put yourself on a high pedestal that usually you can’t live up to.
Well after we saw the video, I wanted to do two things: 1. Taste the “best” burger & 2. See if it actually is the best burger because I love food. I love eating great food and I love creating food which I hope turns out to be great.
We Feast…
So we set out to go on our first wedding anniversary. We made a reservation and got all cute for the occasion. When we got to Brindle Room we got seated fairly quickly. It is a small place but cool in its decor. They had other great items on the menu but the main reason we were there was for the famed burger. We ordered the burger (which is prepared at the recommended medium if you don’t say anything to them) and our drinks, then proceeded to wait for our meal with excitement. We chatted, flirted and smiled at each other while we waited. We even held hands in honor of our anniversary blah blah blah blah. Then we received our burgers and they looked delicious, better in person. The fries were fresh and very hot. They were pretty good, nice and crunchy. The burger itself was incredible. Crunchy outside and tender …. oh very tender and juicy…. so juicy, perfectly cooked it was. Now, normally I would have my burgers with bacon because well bacon,but this time it wasn’t needed because of the awesome crunch the burger patty had. Tasted like butter…. glorious heavenly butter with a touch of sweet caramelized onions with the creamy american cheese. Sorry for the run-on sentences but when it comes to food anything goes to accurately depict how awesome or terrible it is.
But we were still hungry…
We also ordered their smoked chicken wings which were delicious as well. Very tender and juicy they were. Best wings we have ever had thus far. Oh and btw, in case you were wondering, it IS the best burger in NYC. This burger is an experience that every meat-eater should allow themselves to have.
